Privacy
This covers poti.dev, blog.poti.dev and theothersideof.poti.dev. They count visits so I can see how many people come by and roughly where they’re from.
What is counted
- Which pages are visited, and how many times each article is read or liked.
- The city, region and country of each visit, looked up from your IP address by the hosting provider (Vercel).
- Your IP address, next to the time, page and city of the visit. I use these to test the site. Only I can see them, and each one is deleted automatically 24 hours after the visit.
What isn’t
- No cookies, no ads and no tracking across other websites.
- If you like an article, your browser remembers that in its own storage. The site keeps only the total number of likes.
Videos
Project videos are hosted on YouTube or Vimeo. Their player loads only when you press play; until then, the most YouTube may see is a request for the video’s preview image. Links to Instagram or TikTok open on their sites.
Visit statistics are also collected by Vercel Web Analytics, which likewise uses no cookies. Questions? Get in touch.
